This six part Leadership series, developed for ENC and aimed at businesses who really want to push their businesses forward, provides business owners and leaders with practical knowledge on how to inspire your team towards tangible business improvements.
This course goes beyond what has been previously provided and will give you a greater depth of skills and fresh thinking to build an effective and highly successful team.
As well as the 6 modules presented to the group, each attendee receives 2 hours of one-on-one coaching to assist in implementing new skills into the workplace and ensure maximum return on your investment.
This course is aimed at business owners and managers and will also extend the knowledge of those who have attended previous management or leadership programmes at ENC.
This is a 'hands-on' course so is not available for remote attendance via video-conferencing.

MODULE 1 - THE LEADERSHIP ROLE
21 May 2019, 9.00am - 1.00pm
Set the foundation for your leadership style. This module will help you to assess your strengths and weaknesses as leader and help you to develop a management style that is effective and comfortable for you.
Setting this foundation will grow you into a leader instead of a boss, and will drive your staff to want to achieve business goals rather than just follow instructions.
MODULE 2 - ENGAGING TEAMS AND INDIVIDUALS
4 June 2019, 9.00am - 1.00pm
Learn to adopt different leadership styles depending on the situation. In this module you will learn how to engage your team and individuals in planning, setting and achieving goals in a motivational and engaging manner.
You will gain tools to help you to analysis your current situation, establish goals, plan the steps to achieve them and learn how to engage your teams in this process so that team achievement becomes the team focus.
MODULE 3 - MANAGING CHANGE
20 June 2019, 9.00am - 1.00pm
Change happens. It’s the 21st century. It seems that the stress of the new affects most people in every age. So the trick is not to resist it, but to go with it. The real problem for the leader is getting over the resistance of those who don’t want to change.
Change management requires thoughtful planning and sensitive implementation as well as consultation with, and involvement of, the people affected by the changes. We all know that if we force change on people, problems arise.
In this module we will explore how to manage change effectively and introduce you to you some tools and concepts to assist you in managing change in your workplace.
MODULE 4 - COMMUNICATION EXCELLENCE
2 July 2019, 9.00am - 1.00pm
When team communication skills are strong, it raises the chance that good ideas and best practices will be shared openly. Teams that can establish an open, positive and supportive environment among team members are in a better position to hear those good ideas and learn from the best practices of the group.
In this module we look at the art of communication. We examine patterns of communication and discuss core communication skills you can use to create healthy and positive relationships in your workplace.
MODULE 5 - CONFLICT RESOLUTION
16 July 2019, 9.00am - 1.00pm
Reducing and resolving conflict is an essential leadership skill. It is inevitable that conflict will occur and each person has their own natural strategy when dealing with conflict. Some strategies are more effective than others and in this module we explore different types of conflict and methods to resolve them. A great leader can turn a conflict situation into an opportunity for change and you will be taught the tactics for achieving this goal.
MODULE 6 - MANAGING PERFORMANCE
30 July 2019, 9.00am - 1.00pm
Managing performance requires us to reconcile caring for and developing our people whilst ensuring that business aims are achieved. Managing performance requires us to strike a balance between compassion and accountability.
Good modern leaders strive to balance these two areas according to the situations in which performance needs managing. Being able to assess situations and adapt our response is vital to managing people. If we manage people well, we manage performance well too.
