North Canterbury based PLC Group are working on multiple projects in the Kaiapoi area at the moment.  We caught up with Jedd Pearce of PLC Group to find out a little more.

PLC Group were responsible for developing the ENC building and the upstairs Clocktower Offices on the corner of Charles and Williams Street.  Whilst the ground floor is fully occupied with ENC, Visit Waimakariri and the Kaiapoi i-Site, the upstairs offers several smaller office units.  These are now rapidly filling up and are ideal for those looking for a North Canterbury base, or those seeking to ditch the home office for some professional space.  Current and future tenants include Comply Systems, Visionstream, Ray White and consultant Sue Suckling.  There are still a couple of units left to rent says Pearce.

Across the road the current empty site on the corner of Charles and Williams Street is earmarked for a commercial development that would accommodate up to eight retail units.  Pearce says they hope to break ground on the site before Christmas.  And there is already some interest from prospective tenants including a craft brewery.

Five minutes away on Smith Street, PLC Group, are also the developers working on the newly branded Waimak Junction site. Already home to anchor tenant, Placemakers, the site is master planned with distinct precincts to accommodate a number of business types including food & beverage, automotive, large format retail and trade based retail. With over 600 customer car parks and great profile adjacent to SH1, the site is an attractive proposition particularly for large format retail and and trade-based retail.  Pearce says they have been in discussion with several prospective tenants but due to confidentiality issues are not able to discuss any details currently.
