Technical Safety and Quality Coach

We are looking for a Technical Safety and Quality Coach to join our team. We are focused on attracting someone who is passionate about using their skills and experience to coach, assess and develop others. Reporting to the General Manager Field Services, you will be responsible for developing and providing technical internal training and assessments of our field staff.

You will be a great communicator, with hands-on technical knowledge and experience from working in the electricity field. You will build relationships with a varied workforce and use your previous practical experience to coach and support a range of people at different stages of their career.

This role is pivotal in ensuring our staff maintain the appropriate levels of skills and competence to operate a safe, efficient, and reliable network. The role also supports general HSEQ functions alongside other teams in the business.

Qualifications and experience key to the role:

  • NZ Electrical registration and a current practicing licence.
  • Previous experience working in the Electricity distribution network sector.
  • Proven experience in the maintenance and operation of electrical systems and equipment.
  • A practical understanding and experience of Network processes and support systems.
  • A trainer and assessor qualification or can show evidence of trainer and assessor competencies.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct training and undertake assessments.
  • An ability to take initiative, combined with sound judgement.
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Superb planning skills to ensure priorities and tasks are completed on time.
  • Absolute commitment to workplace and public safety.
