Team Administrator (Kaiwhakarite Tira)

Part-time (20 hrs per week) Position

Are you an experienced Administrator who is looking for the next challenge in your career? Then this could be the role for you!

We seek a Team Administrator (Kaiwhakarite Tira) who can provide a high level of administration support for the Service team. The position is based at our Christchurch office and will report to the Service Manager – Southern.

The role primarily focuses on the smooth and effective completion of all administrative tasks and office support including providing reception cover. The role will ensure timely and responsive delivery of high quality administration support utilising a customer centric approach.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Proficient knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communications skills (written and verbal) and presentation skills.
  • Previous administrative experience in a similar role
  • Excellent organisational skills including diary and travel management
  • Proficiency in reporting, minute taking, proposals, dictations and presentations 
  • Excellent relationship management and customer service skills
  • Ability to operate independently and collaboratively and have a strong dynamic working style
  • Ability to think strategically, see the ‘big picture’
  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and personal integrity at all times
  • A relevant qualification
  • An demonstrable understanding and commitment to a tikanga Maori approach to their work
  • Knowledge of te reo Maori would also be an advantage

A must for the role is that you have:

  • A current New Zealand Full drivers licence with the ability to drive manual vehicles.
  • A clear Ministry of Justice check.
