There is an exciting opportunity for a qualified and skilled butcher to supervise the team about to move into a sparkling new boning room at Harris Meats’ abattoir and meat processing plant near Cheviot, North Canterbury.
Harris Meats pride themselves on their ability to produce high quality meat products and to provide exceptional customer service. A substantial expansion of their plant is nearing completion, featuring the new boning room with the latest technical features and equipment.
The main purpose of this role is to lead the team to meet production, safety and quality targets. A hands-on role, you will need to be experienced in and proficient at boning beef and preferably pork. Team leadership experience is preferred, along with good knowledge of food safety and health & safety compliance.
Other responsibilities include:
- production and equipment management
- customer trade relationships
- storage and logistics
