We are looking for people who are looking for the opportunity to develop a career as a stockperson in the pig industry and looking for a long term position. On farm training will be provided to those who have less experience in farming but bring a great attitude and share our company values. Applicants must be willing to relocate to the Hurunui.

Applicants must: Be physically fit and have a full drivers licence Have a willingness to learn Demostrate maturity and honesty Have empathy for animals and experience with large animals. Be reliable Be willing to talk proactively about the work they are doing and enjoy helping others to achieve the days tasks Demonstrate respect for others in their team and support management Be able to demonstrate experience working in a commercial pig operation or other relevant experience.

Daily activities include: Feeding stock and maintaining feeding equipment Assessing body condition and animal health Ensuring the sows and piglets have access to clean water, and dry bedding at all times. Driving a variety of farm vehicles including quad bikes, tractors and utility vehicles. Carrying out A.I. on a weekly basis Medicating and recording information about sick or injured animals. Process litters including cross fostering as required to ensure each piglet has adequate milk to grow. Recording accurately every day the details of production and location of each sow and piglet on farm. Ensuring equipment is well maintained and driven safely Following Standard Operating procedures Supporting teammates and management to ensure all work is completed before leaving work Contributing to a positive work culture

Migrant applicants must have an agricultural qualification and a minimum of 1 year's pig production experience. Applicants must already be eligible to work in New Zealand.

Hourly rate is based on experience. Weekend work is rostered but on average 1 in 3 weekends.
