The Waimakariri District Council serves a community of over 60,000 that is experiencing rapid growth with a high rate of development accompanied by corresponding demands on administrative functions. The Council is seeking a Project Coordinator to work full time within the Project Delivery Unit, as part of the Shovel Ready Project Team, based in Rangiora.
The successful applicant will be responsible for providing administrative support including files management, filing & record keeping, organising meetings, and taking minutes. Project coordination will be part of your day-to-day responsibilities.
To be successful in this position, you will demonstrate significant experience in a similar role. This role will suit a strong team player who enjoys interacting with a wide range of stakeholders and going the extra mile but also thrives on accuracy and efficiency of information and processes. We are looking for someone who takes ownership and has exceptional customer service skills with a "can-do" attitude. Being able to prioritise workloads and deal with multiple tasks in high-pressure situations is essential.
