Daiken New Zealand is the sole manufacturer of Customwood® MDF – the world’s premium Medium Density Fibreboard – which is exported internationally to a wide range of customers and is known for its quality and consistency.
They run a large and unique manufacturing plant based in the spacious North Canterbury countryside, operating 24/7/365. The success of Daiken’s business is driven by their core values: Safety, Quality and Productivity.
They have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Production Operator to join their team. The role reports to the site controller and would be part of a team working a rotational roster consisting of 12 hour shifts inclusive of weekends and night shifts.
While previous experience in a production environment would be desirable, a willingness to learn and a mechanical aptitude are the only pre-requisites. All applicants must have the ability to contribute effectively as part of a team and a Safety First focus is essential.
You will need to be self motivated and have the ability to understand and control a complex manufacturing process. This is a demanding position and would suit a person who shows initiative, is a logical thinker and has demonstrated sound problem solving skills.
Daiken offer a generous wage package inclusive of a subsidised superannuation scheme and Medical and Life Insurances. All of their production staff are trained onsite with the opportunity to acquire multiple skills, and training is in accordance with NZQA Standards for the National Certificate in Wood Fibre Manufacturing.
If you’re comfortable working a rotational shift roster and have a commitment to safety, then please apply by emailing your CV to firstname.lastname@example.org. Any questions contact Donna 027 636 6960.
Please note: No applications will be considered or responded to unless you have New Zealand residency.
Applications Close 31/12/2017.
