The Waimakariri District Council have an exciting opportunity for you to make a real difference. We are looking for an enthusiastic Payroll Officer to join our Finance department, based in Rangiora. We promise to be professional, approachable and solutions-focused when providing for our community. This role is 40 hours per fortnight to work in with our fortnightly pay run. Additional hours may be available as required to cover leave within the team.
Applicants will be highly motivated team players with a "can-do" attitude, a good eye for details and a solutions-focused mind set demonstrating a pragmatic approach and must enjoy working with numerical data in a deadline driven environment. Having outstanding communication and computer skills is essential as is the ability to prioritize workloads. The successful applicant will support the Payroll Supervisor by completing all tasks associated with the preparation of our pay cycle. Have a good understanding of relevant Employment Legislations and knowledge of Technology One would put you at an advantage.
