ABOUT THE POSITION

We have a terrific opportunity for someone who is interested in a parts technician role at Cochranes of Canterbury Amberley. We are looking for a person with a passion for the Ag industry, Knowledge/willingness to learn inventory parts sales systems/techniques and a desire to be a key player in the parts department at our growing Amberley Branch.

ABOUT THE BRANCH

Amberley branch is situated in the center of the township of Amberley, just 30mins north of central Christchurch. Cochranes Amberley has a strong customer base throughout the North Canterbury region with a wide range of machinery sold and serviced. The addition of brand-new workshop facilities and showroom allows employee’s working at the Amberley Branch of Cochranes to enjoy not only the benefits of top-class CASE IH product training, development and tools but also a new workshop and amenities to match.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• An overarching interest in the parts sales industry. Experience in the parts industry is being sought for this role, but is not essential - this job is open to varying skill levels, so entry level candidates with prerequisite skills will be considered.
• The ability to deal effectively and courteously with the public and the farming community, even in difficult situations.
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Organised with the ability to plan and schedule work.
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• A fast learner with the ability to follow instructions / processes and apply these new skills practically in the work place
• Basic math, English and computer skills, with the willingness to advance in these areas as required
• Great attention to detail, with the ability to apply these attributes to such areas as parts catalogues and electronic inventory systems.
• Physically able and capable of packing / unpacking stock orders and filling shelves
• A team player that shares the values of professionalism, integrity and teamwork
• A sense of humour and a positive can-do attitude is essential
