Daiken New Zealand is the sole manufacturer of Customwood MDF – the world’s premium Medium Density Fibreboard – which is exported internationally to a wide range of customers. The company has a large focus on continuous improvement, quality and sustainability and pride ourselves on our ability to consistently produce individual pieces of high quality in a sustainable manner.

They run a large and unique manufacturing plant based in Ashley, ten minutes north of Rangiora, set amongst the spacious Canterbury plains, operating 24/7/365. The success of their business is driven by their core values; Safety, Quality and Productivity.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving and verifying purchase orders
  • Data entry to SAP
  • Communication with customers and internal teams through the sales process
  • Accurate reporting
  • General enquiries with internal and external customers

 You will:

 

  • Have outstanding customer service skills
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be fluent in English
  • Be a strong team player as well as being able to work independently and problem solve
  • Have excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Have ERP skills
  • Be exceptional with data entry
  • Have a high level of computer literacy
  • Have at least 5 years customer service experience
  • Be well organised and with the ability to prioritise

 

It will be an advantage if you:

  • Can fluently speak and write Japanese
  • Have industry training in customer service
  • Experience in exporting
  • Experience on a manufacturing site
