The Role
The Line Mechanic vacancies are evidence of MainPower's people initiatives whereby people have successfully trained and secured other Field Services or Network Engineering roles or reached retirement after contributing loyal years with the company.

As a key member of the 65 strong Field Services Contracting team evidence of you demonstrating the following Competencies is essential: 

  • A qualified distribution Line Mechanic
  • NZ Residency or a firm NZ Work Visa
  • Commitment to Safety First - culture & motto, 'Think Safe, Work Safe, Home Safe'
  • A passion for working outdoors and teamwork
  • Enthusiastic about maintenance & capital works projects
  • Contribute to efficiencies & improvements
  • Initiative & thinking 'outside the square' in problem solving
  • Resourceful & quality focused under pressure
  • Minimum Class 2 Drivers Licence
  • Compliance to a Drug & Alcohol-free environment & random testing
  • Commitment to training & personal development
