The Waimakariri District Council is seeking a Health, Safety & Quality Manager to lead a small team of professionals who strive to deliver quality advice and service across a broad portfolio. This is a hugely varied role where you will be involved in everything from leading teams and promoting a positive culture of continuous improvement to delivering our legislative obligations and presenting to Council.

To succeed in this role, you will be a leader of people and a collaborative team player with drive and passion both for the role and the team that you will be representing. You will take pride in our organisation and the district and look for opportunities to show that in all that you do. You will have demonstrated your skills in the development and implementation of relevant strategies and have an edge in understanding and managing health, safety and risk through others with a demonstrated record of accomplishment.

We are looking for someone who is authentic, believes in continuous improvement and welcomes new learning and experiences by sharing, contributing and cooperating with their Team and wider colleagues. You will be someone who operates well cross-functionally, who has outstanding interpersonal skills to relate to and work effectively with, a diverse range of people.
