We are currently recruiting a Business and Centres Advisor who has the ability to work effectively across a unique set of stakeholders in a fast-growing environment.
This newly created role will establish strong relationships with the business sector through acting as a key point of contact when they engage with Council's regulatory processes. One of the key responsibilities will be to develop and implement strategies & projects related to the Council's town centres development and commercial growth objectives. We are looking for people who think both critically & strategically and encourage innovative thinking to generate best value solutions.
To be successful in this position you will demonstrate significant experience in managing mutually beneficial relationships & partnerships while also liaising with a variety of community and business stakeholders. Your excellent people skills and ability to build rapport and influence will be appreciated and will compliment with your excellent communication skills. You will need strong time management & organisation skills and an ability to prioritise your own work in order to achieve timely outcomes. An understanding of economic development and the roles that local territory authorities play in local economic development would also be an advantage.
We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, believes in continuous improvement and welcomes new learning and experiences by sharing, contributing and cooperating with the others. Having a great work ethic, being passionate and willing to bring energy and enthusiasm will definitely be a plus!
