Enterprise North Canterbury’s most popular training course is returning on October 21st for the only time in 2020.

Supervising and Managing Others is a modular workshop that focuses on practical skills and techniques for first time managers and supervisors, or established managers looking to refresh their skills and focus.

Course presenter Victoria Barkway of Bold Consultancy has been delivering this course through Enterprise North Canterbury for four years and says there has never been a better time for businesses to invest in staff development.

“There has never been a more urgent need for focused leadership in our business communities,” she says.

“Covid has introduced disruption like never before and we need strong, skilled leaders to guide businesses and workplaces through.”

The course is delivered as four half-day workshops with the option to add on two hours of one-on-one coaching with Victoria. Victoria says the workshop format means participants get the opportunity to have some time out to think, learn and plan while meeting others in similar roles.

“Participants always tell us that the course gives them confidence and clarity about their role and that it provides practical ideas that they can implement straight away.”

The next Supervising and Managing Others course begins on October 21st and runs until November 11th. Spaces are limited to 12 attendees. The workshops are held at the ENC Business Centre in Kaiapoi.
