Update, June 19: The ENC Professional Services Grant has now closed.
Enterprise North Canterbury is urging local businesses to apply for the remainder of the Professional Services Grant before it’s too late.
The grant, announced on April 16th, provides $400 towards the cost of cashflow forecasting advice to small and medium sized businesses in North Canterbury that have been negatively affected by the Covid-19 situation. Businesses who choose to spend their grant with one of the five participating professional service partners also receive an additional $400 worth of time, donated by the partners themselves.
To date, 68 businesses across Waimakariri, Hurunui and Kaikoura have successfully applied for the grant, with a total of $27,200 paid out. But with only two weeks left to apply and just 20 grants remaining, ENC Chief Executive Heather Warwick says time is of the essence.
“Businesses that haven’t applied yet should definitely consider doing so. This grant will allow you to get a free updated cashflow forecast for your business which is invaluable at any time, but now more than ever as we face uncertain times ahead.
“Cashflow is the lifeblood of any business so we are really urging all businesses to consider this amazing offer that has been made available thanks to the Waimakariri, Hurunui and Kaikoura District Councils and our local Professional Service Partners.”
To be eligible for the fund, businesses must:
To apply, business operators need to fill in the application form which will go to the ENC Business Support Team who will see if the business fits the criteria and contact the applicant to confirm the grant. Successful applicants can then contact their chosen accountant, to whom the $400 from ENC will have been paid.
Applications will close on June 19 or when the remaining 20 grants have been distributed.
