Kaiapoi Marketing Strategy

Following the September earthquake, ENC secured some funding through Ministry of Economic Development (MED) to assist in the marketing of Kaiapoi.  Businesses who participated in SHOP Kaiapoi and who attended a meeting at the end of January 2011, were asked to give their ideas and opinions on how this money should be utilised for maximum exposure for Kaiapoi.

Ideas were collated and the businesses who attended the session in January were able to vote on what they thought were the best 3 campaigns for ENC to follow up.  This document was circulated to those who had made comments and suggestions and following the feedback has been adapted.

The Campaigns are:

  1. Kaiapoi Coupon Book - April 2011
  2. Rebuild Kaiapoi Expo - September 2011
  3. SHOP Kaiapoi - November 2011

It is anticipated that each of these campaigns will have a total value of approximately $40k

ENC has contracted each of these campaigns to project managers who will make contact with businesses in Kaiapoi to see if they wish to participate in one or all of these campaigns.

One of the requirements of the funding is that businesses "match" the government funding with their own and ENC anticipates a cost of approximately $150 per business per campaign to participate.
