NZTE Capability Development Vouchers soon to be available through Enterprise North Canterbury who is your local Regional Business Partner.
The vouchers can be used to help you access services that build your management capabilities, which in turn may accelerate the growth of your business.
To be eligible for the vouchers your business needs to:
- have fewer than 50 employees
- be registered for GST in New Zealand
- operating in a commercial environment
- privately owned or a Maori Trust
- demonstrate a desire to innovate and grow.
Vouchers can not be allocated until you have been assessed by Enterprise North Canterbury.
Questions and Answers on the Capability Development Vouchers
2010 saw the Enterprise Training Programme come to an end. (a training programme for business owners and managers across New Zealand, funded by NZTE) The new Capability Voucher Scheme which is again aimed at business owners and senior managers across New Zealand, but this time it is only 50% funded by NZTE.
How do I access this?
As a business owner or senior manager, you should initially contact Cat Hannah at Enterprise North Canterbury, she will arrange to come and meet with you and your senior managers. The results of the assessment will highlight the strengths you have in your business and enable any potential weaknesses to be identified.
This service is completely FREE to businesses in North Canterbury.
What if there are training needs identified?
Don’t panic! ENC may be able to provide your business with a Capability Voucher which can be redeemed with the specified accredited training providers or business coaches both in the Canterbury region and
nationwide for training and coaching in areas such as:
- Business Planning
- Marketing Strategies
- Finance
- Business Systems
- Managing Resources
- Governance
- Sustainability
- Lean Manufacturing/Business Operations
- Exporting
How much am I entitled to?
Each voucher is worth a maximum of 50% of the cost of a training course and each business is entitled to a maximum of $5000 (ex GST) of vouchers to be spent on the identified training needs of management within the business per year.
