Earthquake Information and Useful Links

Following the recent earthquakes in Canterbury, our hearts go out to those businesses and residents who have had severe disruption to their homes and businesses. Many businesses in Waimakariri who were affected by the earthquake on 4th September 2010 have received minimal damage from the 6.3 earthquake which happened on 22nd February.

  • The Earthquake Commission is assisting those with RESIDENTIAL properties who are making claims including online claims and tips for making claims.  This includes motels with owners accomodation onsite and rest homes with residential accomodation.
  • Commercial property owners should contact their insurance company.  The New Zealand Insurance Commission has links to all insurance companies with their contact numbers.
