Enterprise North Canterbury was established in 2002 as a not for profit trust by the Waimakariri and Hurunui District Councils, and the economic development agency has taken a leadership role in the following 5 key areas;

To sustain & grow existing business, and promote new business within the region - Projects relating to this are undertaken by Cat Hannah with assistance from Robyn Eyles

o Sustainable Tourism Adviser in the Region (STAR)

To promote and facilitate land-use intesification in the region - projects related to this are overseen by David Viles
